The areas affected include... Chequamegon Bay-Bayfield to Oak Point WI... Duluth MN to Port Wing WI... Lake Superior west of a line from Saxon Harbor WI to Grand Portage MN beyond 5NM... Oak Point to Saxon Harbor WI... Outer Apostle Islands Beyond 5 NM from Mainland... Port Wing to Sand Island WI... Sand Island to Bayfield WI... Silver Bay Harbor to Two Harbors MN... Taconite Harbor to Silver Bay Harbor MN... Two Harbors to Duluth MN... At 449 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 to 40 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 37 nm northwest of Larsmont to 21 nm northwest of Duluth Lift Bridge Channel, moving east at 30 knots. Storms will reach Silver Bay to Two Harbors to Duluth by around 545 PM CDT and then move towards the Apostle Islands over the next two hours.
