A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas... Grand Marais to Taconite Harbor MN... Grand Portage to Grand Marais MN... Lake Superior west of a line from Saxon Harbor WI to Grand Portage MN beyond 5NM... At 1044 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 17 nm northeast of Rock of Ages Light to 11 nm northwest of Grand Portage Marina to 23 nm northwest of Grand Marais Harbor, moving southeast at 35 knots.
