The areas affected include... Lake Superior west of a line from Saxon Harbor WI to Grand Portage MN beyond 5NM... Outer Apostle Islands Beyond 5 NM from Mainland... Port Wing to Sand Island WI... Sand Island to Bayfield WI... Silver Bay Harbor to Two Harbors MN... Taconite Harbor to Silver Bay Harbor MN... At 1005 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. This thunderstorm was located 8 nm northwest of Beaver Bay, moving southeast at 45 knots.
