A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas... Lake Superior west of a line from Saxon Harbor WI to Grand Portage MN beyond 5NM... Outer Apostle Islands Beyond 5 NM from Mainland... At 653 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. This thunderstorm was located 19 nm northeast of Devils Island, or 19 nm west of The Western Lake Superior Buoy, moving southeast at 40 knots.
