At 740 AM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists detected a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing wind gusts near 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located 20 nm southeast of D Tower, moving northwest at 10 knots. The strong thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.
