...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM CDT /9 AM MDT/ THIS MORNING TO 8 PM CDT /7 PM MDT/ THIS EVENING FOR MUCH OF WESTERN NORTH DAKOTA, EXTENDING UNTIL 8 PM MDT MONDAY FOR SLOPE AND BOWMAN COUNTIES... .Critical fire weather conditions are expected late this morning through early this evening across much of western North Dakota. A cold front will move into western North Dakota by early afternoon, shifting winds from south to northwest around 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Humidity is expected to fall as low as 10 to 15 percent this afternoon. In the southwest corner of the state, humidity is only projected to recover to around 45 percent overnight, then fall as low as 20 percent on Monday as north winds increase to around 25 to 30 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Therefore, the Red Flag Warning remains in effect through early Monday evening for Slope and Bowman Counties. The National Weather Service in Bismarck ND has issued a Red Flag Warning. * AFFECTED AREA...Slope and Bowman Counties. * TIMING...From 9 AM this morning to 8 PM MDT Monday. * WINDS...For today, south winds shifting to the northwest around 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. For Monday, north winds around 25 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...For today, as low as 10 to 15 percent.
