What the bulletin says to do

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds. Wind damage with these storms will occur before any rain or lightning. Do not wait for the sound of thunder before taking cover. Seek shelter immediately inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows. If on or near Lake Powell, get away from the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 15 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.

Coconino County in north central Arizona... * Until 1245 AM MST /145 AM MDT/. * At 1215 AM MST /115 AM MDT/, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 8 miles south of Sand Hill Petroglyphs to 10 miles northwest of Wahweap, or along a line from 32 miles southwest of Page to 15 miles northwest of Page, moving northwest at 30 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Page, LeChee, Bitter Springs, Page Municipal Airport, Trapeze Cove, Antelope Point Marina, Coppermine, Glen Canyon Dam, Cliff Dwellers, Jacob Lake, Marble Canyon Airport, Jackass Canyon, Marble Canyon, Antelope Pass Overlook, Horseshoe Bend, Sand Hill Petroglyphs, White Pocket and Wahweap.
