For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

At 928 PM MST, a severe thunderstorm was located near Buckeye, moving west at 15 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail. SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Locations impacted include... Glendale, Surprise, Avondale, Goodyear, Buckeye, El Mirage, Youngtown, Waddell, Cashion, Sun City, Litchfield Park, Palo Verde, Perryville, White Tank Mountain Park, and Luke AFB. This includes the following highways... AZ Interstate 10 between mile markers 107 and 132. AZ Route 85 between mile markers 149 and 154. AZ Route 303 between mile markers 105 and 115.
