What the bulletin says to do

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large hail. If on or near Lake Mohave, get away from the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Winds will reach the lake before the precipitation does. Remember, lightning can strike out to 15 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.

At 141 PM PDT /141 PM MST/, a severe thunderstorm was located near Cottonwood Cove Campground, or 9 miles east of Searchlight, moving east at 15 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
