At 822 PM MST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from near San Manuel to 10 miles west of Kearny, moving southwest at 20 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees....

What the bulletin says to do

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds and large hail. Wind damage with these storms will occur before any rain or lightning. Do not wait for the sound of thunder before taking cover. Seek shelter immediately inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

At 822 PM MST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from near San Manuel to 10 miles west of Kearny, moving southwest at 20 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Oracle, Mammoth, Saddlebrooke, San Manuel, Saddlebrooke Ranch, Kearny, Dudleyville, Mount Lemmon/Summerhaven, Cactus Forest, Campo Bonito, Biosphere 2, Oracle Junction and Kelvin. This includes the following highways... Route 79 between mile markers 92 and 128. Route 77 between mile markers 90 and 127. Route 177 between mile markers 141 and 155.
