Seek shelter now inside an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built structure. This storm has produced widespread destructive winds. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Report severe weather to your nearest law enforcement agency or the National Weather Service office in Las Vegas NV.

At 353 PM PDT, A severe thunderstorm was located near Newberry Springs, or 9 miles east of Daggett, moving north at 5 mph. THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR BARSTOW. HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. The Barstow Airport reported wind gusts to 89 MPH. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles. Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely. Locations impacted include... Newberry Springs. This includes the following highways... Interstate 15 in California between mile markers 85 and 101. Interstate 40 in California between mile markers 11 and 23.
