At 520 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 9 miles north of Westplains to 11 miles north of New Raymer, or along a line from 31 miles northwest of Sterling to 33 miles west of Sterling, moving east at 15 mph. HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 70 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated....

What the bulletin says to do

Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. These storms are capable of producing widespread damaging winds and dangerous hail. Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built structure.

Bulletin details

At 520 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 9 miles north of Westplains to 11 miles north of New Raymer, or along a line from 31 miles northwest of Sterling to 33 miles west of Sterling, moving east at 15 mph. HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 70 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Locations impacted include... Westplains.
