At 922 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Longmeadow to near Gales Ferry, moving northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Law enforcement. Two trees were downed in Windsor and one tree was downed in Broad Brook around 905 PM from these severe storms....

What the bulletin says to do

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

At 922 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Longmeadow to near Gales Ferry, moving northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Law enforcement. Two trees were downed in Windsor and one tree was downed in Broad Brook around 905 PM from these severe storms. IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines. Locations impacted include... Springfield, Hartford, Manchester, East Hartford, Enfield, Glastonbury, Vernon, Windsor, Agawam, Mansfield, South Windsor, Windham, Plainfield, Simsbury, Bloomfield, Willimantic, Longmeadow, Suffield, East Longmeadow, and Ellington.
