Bulletin details

At 723 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Lambs Grove to near Altoona to near Granger, moving southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Public reports of 60 mph wind gusts in Ankeny. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Ankeny, Johnston, Altoona, Grimes, Bondurant, Polk City, Saylorville, Mitchellville, Granger, Baxter, Big Creek Lake, Saylorville Lake, Elkhart, Alleman, Sheldahl, Mingo, Valeria, Big Creek State Park, Ankeny Regional Airport, and Margo Frankel Woods State Park. This includes the following highways... Interstate 35 between mile markers 90 and 101. Interstate 80 between mile markers 145 and 150.
