Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. These storms have produced widespread damaging winds. Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built structure.

Bulletin details

At 1239 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from over Wickliffe to near Matthews, or along a line from over Wickliffe to 8 miles north of Hunter-Dawson State Historic Site, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and small hail. SOURCE...Trained spotters reported. IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Locations impacted include... Sikeston, Dexter, Charleston, East Prairie, Cairo, Miner, Wickliffe, Morehouse, Bertrand, Matthews, Essex, Canalou, Wyatt, Anniston, Farrenburg, Hay-Wood City, Blodgett, Baker and Diehlstadt.
