Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

At 327 PM EDT/227 PM CDT/, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Edwardsburg to near Lakeville to near Plymouth, and are nearly stationary. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... South Bend, Mishawaka, Niles, Bremen, Gulivoire Park, Granger, Osceola, Walkerton, North Liberty, New Carlisle, Kingsford Heights, Edwardsburg, Lakeville, Roseland, Koontz Lake, Bertrand, La Paz, Indian Village, Teegarden, and Salem Heights. This includes Interstate 80 in Indiana between mile markers 68 and 86.
