Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for central and northern Maryland.

Northeastern Prince Georges County in central Maryland... * Until 700 PM EDT. * At 559 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Arbutus to near Savage-guilford to Adelphi, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches to fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as damage homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by downed trees. Localized power outages are possible. Unsecured light objects may become projectiles. * Locations impacted include... Baltimore, Bowie, Severn, Annapolis, Crofton, Riviera Beach, Naval Academy, Baltimore-Washington Airport, Severn River, Fort Smallwood State Park, Gibson Island, Sillery Bay, Bodkin Point, Magothy River, Dobbins Island, Pinehurst, Glen Burnie, Severna Park, Odenton, and Laurel.
