Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds and large hail. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for portions of east central and south central Minnesota.

Bulletin details

At 447 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 6 miles south of Rosemount to over Northfield, or along a line from 15 miles north of Northfield to over Northfield, moving northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. This severe thunderstorm will be near... Northfield, Farmington and Dundas around 450 PM CDT. Rosemount around 455 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by the severe thunderstorm include Castle Rock, Randolph and Hampton.
