At 527 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles north of Sand Springs, or 27 miles west of Jordan, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail. SOURCE...At 5:15 PM, a 67 mph wind gust was recorded 2 miles west of Sand Springs, Montana. IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Locations impacted include... Sand Springs, Edwards, Brusett, Devils Creek Rec Area, and Steve Fork.
