Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. Straight line winds can blow down trees, power lines, and damage mobile homes and other buildings. Seek shelter in a sturdy structure until the storm has passed. Stay away from windows as flying debris generated by damaging winds can be deadly.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Burlington, Graham, Mebane, Elon, Gibsonville, Haw River, Lake Cammack Park & Marina, Altamahaw-Ossipee, Glen Raven, and Union Ridge. This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 142 and 146, between Mile Markers 149 and 151, and Mile Marker 153 and near Mile Marker 155.
