Central Iredell County in the Piedmont of North Carolina... * Until 615 PM EDT. * At 532 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles northwest of Statesville, or 5 miles northeast of Stony Point, moving south at 15 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to trees and power lines. * Locations impacted include... Statesville, Troutman, Stony Point, Scotts, Love Valley, and Catawba.
