They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in Newport. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

At 554 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Roanoke Island Festival Park, or 9 miles south of Kill Devil Hills, moving northeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of central Dare County.
