Northwestern Rowan County in the Piedmont of North Carolina... * Until 430 PM EDT. * At 327 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 13 miles southwest of Yadkinville, or near Harmony, moving southeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines. * Locations impacted include... Mocksville, Harmony, Turnersburg, Olin, Sheffield, Union Grove, Cool Springs, and Statesville.
