What the bulletin says to do

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning are occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Southeastern Johnston County in central North Carolina... * Until 415 PM EDT. * At 317 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 8 miles southwest of Fremont to 13 miles northwest of Mount Olive to 7 miles southeast of Benson, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Goldsboro, Mount Olive, Fremont, Walnut Creek, Pine Level, Princeton, Pikeville, Newton Grove, Eureka, and Seven Springs. This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 329 and 356.
