At 428 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 6 miles northwest of Valentine National Wildlife Refuge to 9 miles south of Merritt Reservoir, moving southeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Highway 97 crossing the North Loup River. This includes Highway 97 between mile markers 93 and 116.
