For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

At 850 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Browns Mills to Bamber Lake to near Seaside Heights, moving south at 30 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Wind damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is possible. Locations impacted include... Toms River, Lakewood, Jackson, Princeton, Beachwood, Hightstown, Seaside Heights, Lakehurst, Allentown, Roosevelt, Mantoloking, Six Flags Theme Park, Georgetown, Cassville, Clarksburg, Twin Rivers, Brick Township, Whiting, Pine Ridge At Crestwood, and Leisure Village West-Pine Lake Park. This includes the following highways... New Jersey Turnpike between exits 8 and 8A. Interstate 195 in New Jersey between mile markers 4 and 20. Garden State Parkway between mile markers 76 and 90.
