Eastern Dona Ana County in south central New Mexico... * Until 645 PM MDT. * At 552 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 6 miles west of White Sands National Park, moving northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... White Sands National Park, Holloman Air Force Base, and Lake Lucero. This includes Highway 70 in New Mexico between mile markers 191 and 201.
