Northeastern Dona Ana County in south central New Mexico... * Until 815 PM MDT. * At 731 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm wind gust was located near White Sands National Park, moving south at 30 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... White Sands National Park, Northrup Landing, Alamogordo, Holloman Air Force Base, La Luz, Boles Acres, Oliver Lee State Park, and Lake Lucero. This includes the following highways... Highway 70 in New Mexico between mile markers 181 and 212. Highway 54 in New Mexico between mile markers 44 and 71.
