What the bulletin says to do

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds. Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

At 218 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from near Carrollton to 7 miles south of New Philadelphia, or along a line from near Carrollton to 5 miles west of Uhrichsville, moving southeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... New Philadelphia, Dover, Uhrichsville, Carrollton, Dennison, Sugarcreek, Malvern, Tuscarawas, Scio, Midvale, Mineral City, Jewett, Bergholz, Amsterdam, Bowerston, Barnhill, Dellroy, Sherrodsville, Roswell and Parral.
