Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Western Tyler County in northern West Virginia... * Until 445 PM EDT. * At 339 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Thornport to near Sistersville, moving southeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Marietta, New Lexington, St. Marys, McConnelsville, Somerset, Beverly, Shawnee, Perry State Forest, Sistersville, Crooksville, Thornville, Matamoras, Junction City, Malta, Corning, Lowell, Stockport, Bristol, Macksburg, and Glenford. This includes Interstate 77 in Ohio between mile markers 4 and 17.
