Eastern McCormick County in central South Carolina... * Until 600 PM EDT. * At 519 PM EDT, a cluster of severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Ballentine to near McCormick, moving south at 25 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and powerlines. * Locations impacted include... Lexington, Batesburg-Leesville, Highway 6 at Lake Murray Dam, Red Bank, Oak Grove, Edgefield, Saluda, McCormick, Johnston, South Congaree, Gaston, Ridge Spring, Clarks Hill Recreation Area, Edgefield County Airport, Hamilton Branch State Park, Saluda County Airport, J.
