At 150 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Summerton to 8 miles northwest of Edisto Gardens, moving southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and powerlines. Locations impacted include... Orangeburg, Manning, McEntire Air Base, Brookdale, St. Matthews, Gaston, Summerton, Eastover, Elloree, Congaree National Park, Hopkins, Santee State Park, Santee Cooper Regional Airport, Claflin College, South Carolina State University, Orangeburg County Airport, Sandy Run, Gadsden, Poinsett State Park, and Edisto Gardens. This includes the following highways... Interstate 26 between mile markers 121 and 160. Interstate 95 between mile markers 94 and 118.
