At 428 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Prosperity, or near Newberry, moving northeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to trees and powerlines. Locations impacted include... Newberry, VC Summer Nuclear Station, Saluda, Prosperity, Ridge Spring, Newberry College, Newberry County Airport, Little Mountain, Pomaria, Silverstreet, Ward, Saluda Co Sheriff's Office, US- 176 and SC- 34 Crossroads, Belfast Wildlife Management Area, Hollywood Elementary School, Emory, Chappells Fire Station, Delmar, Enoree Ranger District Office, and Stoney Hill. This includes Interstate 26 between mile markers 62 and 87.
