At 336 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles west of Blackstock, or 11 miles south of Chester, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to trees and powerlines. Locations impacted include... Newberry, Winnsboro, VC Summer Nuclear Station, Fairfield County Airport, Monticello, Jenkinsville, Blair, Blythewood, Pomaria, Peak, Lebanon Fire Station, US-176 and SC- 34 Crossroads, Henderson Island, Fairfield County Detention Center, Rion, Winnsboro Mills, Fairfield Elementary School, Maybington Fire Station, Feasterville Fire Station, and White Oak. This includes the following highways... Interstate 26 between mile markers 75 and 83. Interstate 77 between mile markers 29 and 31, and between mile markers 35 and 36.
