At 701 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Hitchcock to 11 miles south of Cavour to near Mount Vernon, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Mesonet. Around 700 PM CDT, a 68 mph wind gust was reported in Huron, SD. IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. These severe storms will be near... Huron, Letcher, Cavour, Forestburg, and Loomis around 705 PM CDT. Mitchell, Artesian, and Yale around 710 PM CDT. Other locations in the path of these severe thunderstorms include Iroquois, Carthage and Fedora.
