Seek shelter immediately inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows. Report severe weather to your nearest law enforcement agency or the National Weather Service office in Aberdeen SD.

At 853 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Richmond Lake Rec Area, or 11 miles northwest of Aberdeen, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and small hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of Northeastern Edmunds, Southeastern McPherson and Northwestern Brown Counties.
