At 729 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Dears Ears Butte, or 42 miles northeast of Belle Fourche, moving southeast at 35 MPH. HAZARD...70 MPH wind gusts and small hail. A wind gust to 64 MPH was measured 7 miles west southwest of Hoover. SOURCE...Automated observations. IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Locations impacted include... Hoover, Zeona, Castle Rock, Dears Ears Butte and Newell Lake.
