Seek shelter now inside an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built structure. This storm is capable of producing destructive hail and widespread damaging winds. Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

At 735 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 5 miles south of Union Center, or 40 miles northeast of Rapid City, moving southeast at 35 mph. THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR UNION CENTER, ENNING, WHITE OWL. HAZARD...Three inch hail and 70 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be severely injured. Expect shattered windows, extensive damage to roofs, siding, and vehicles. Locations impacted include... Union Center and Enning.
