At 818 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Chilhowie to 8 miles northwest of Mountain City to 10 miles southeast of Bristol Va to near Bristol Tn, moving southeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Bristol Tn, Bristol Va, Abingdon, Mountain City, Walnut Hill, Bluff City, Glade Spring, Damascus, Morril's Cave, and Laurel Bloomery. This includes the following highways... Interstate 81 in Tennessee between mile markers 72 and 75. Interstate 81 in Virginia between mile markers 1 and 34.
