Prepare immediately for damaging winds. People outside should move to a shelter, inside a strong building and away from windows. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Bulletin details

At 547 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 11 miles west of Jonesborough to near Tusculum to 8 miles south of Greeneville to 8 miles south of Parrottsville, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Johnson City, Greeneville, Newport, Erwin, Jonesborough, Tusculum, Parrottsville, Banner Hill, Midway, and Unicoi. This includes the following highways... Interstate 26 in Tennessee between mile markers 29 and 54. Interstate 40 in Tennessee between mile markers 436 and 451.
