For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. This is a dangerous storm, capable of producing large hail driven by severe winds! SEEK SHELTER NOW inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows! If you are caught outdoors, cover your head and neck. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Southwestern Roane County in central West Virginia... Southeastern Jackson County in northwestern West Virginia... * Until 230 PM EDT. * At 202 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Ripley, moving southeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Ripley, Sissonville, Kenna, Statts Mills, Evans, Harmony, Given, Kentuck, Fairplain, Gay, and Walton. This includes Interstate 77 in West Virginia between mile markers 115 and 139.
