Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes. Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor immediately.

Bulletin details

For the following areas... Neuse and Bay Rivers... Pamlico Sound... S of Ocracoke Inlet NC to Cape Lookout NC out to 20 NM... At 730 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from near Drum Inlet to near The Vicinity Of Atlantic, moving south at 20 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Locations impacted include... The Vicinity Of Atlantic, The Vicinity Of Davis, Drum Inlet, and Ar275.
