SMWMHX The National Weather Service in Newport has issued a * Special Marine Warning for... Pamlico and Pungo Rivers... * Until 415 PM EDT. * At 313 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from 12 nm northwest of Crabtree Bay to 17 nm north of Blounts Bay, moving southeast at 10 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 40 knots. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include... The Vicinity Of Slades Creek, The Vicinity Of Belhaven, Crabtree Bay, Bath, Blounts Bay, The Vicinity Of Bath Creek, Mid Point Of South Creek, and The Vicinity Of Pamlico Beach.
