Bulletin details

For the following areas... Neuse and Bay Rivers... At 251 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located near Mid Point Of Cherry Branch-Minnesott Beach Ferry Terminal, or near Oriental, moving east at 15 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to nearly 50 knots, and large hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Large hail could result in structural damage. Locations impacted include... The Vicinity Of Slocum Creek, Oriental, Mid Point Of Cherry Branch-Minnesott Beach Ferry Terminal, The Vicinity Of Adams Creek, The Vicinity Of South River, The Vicinity Of Hancock Creek, and The Vicinity Of Clubfoot Creek.
