S of Cape Lookout NC to Surf City NC out to 20 NM... S of Ocracoke Inlet NC to Cape Lookout NC out to 20 NM... Waters from Cape Hatteras to Ocracoke Inlet NC from 20 to 60 NM... Waters from Cape Lookout to Surf City NC from 20 to 60 NM... Waters from Ocracoke Inlet to Cape Lookout NC from 20 to 60 NM... * Until 745 PM EDT. * At 646 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from 12 nm southeast of Ar250 to near 14 Buoy, moving east at 20 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 40 knots. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include... Atlas Tanker and 14 Buoy.
