For the following areas... Waters from Cape Lookout to Surf City NC from 20 to 60 NM... Waters from Ocracoke Inlet to Cape Lookout NC from 20 to 60 NM... At 932 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located 12 nm southeast of 14 Buoy, moving south at 20 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. The strong thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.
