S of Ocracoke Inlet NC to Cape Lookout NC out to 20 NM... Waters from Cape Lookout to Surf City NC from 20 to 60 NM... Waters from Ocracoke Inlet to Cape Lookout NC from 20 to 60 NM... * Until 415 AM EDT. * At 329 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from 24 nm southwest of Big Ten Fathom to 11 nm south of 14 Buoy to near Atlas Tanker, moving southeast at 15 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas.
