Waters from Surf City NC to Little River Inlet SC from 20 to 60 NM... * Until 1115 PM EDT. * At 1040 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from near Bp 25 Liberty Ship Wreck to 7 nm south of Raritan Wreck to 24 nm southeast of Frying Pan Shoals Light Tower, moving southeast at 10 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to 40 knots, and small hail. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include... Gary Ennis Reef, Long Bay Terrace, Bill Perry Junior Reef, Bp 25 Liberty Ship Wreck, and Sunset Mid Shelf Buoy.
