For the following areas... Waters from Surf City NC to Little River Inlet SC from 20 to 60 NM... At 1215 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located 6 NM southeast of City Of Houston, moving northwest at 5 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 40 knots. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Locations impacted include... City Of Houston, Frying Pan Shoals Buoy and Frying Pan Shoals Light Tower.
