SMWCHS The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a * Special Marine Warning for... Charleston Harbor... Coastal waters from South Santee River to Edisto Beach SC out 20 NM... * Until 630 AM EDT. * At 559 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located over Kiawah Reef, moving north at 15 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 34 knots. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include... Lowcountry Anglers, Kiawah Reef, Charleston Harbor Entrance, Castle Pinkney, Wappoo Cut, N. Edisto Nearshore Reef and Crab Bank.
